Britain’s Got Talent?

If you ask children today what they want to be, the dreams of my childhood are no longer there. Engine drivers and firemen have given way to footballers and popstars. TV shows give people an opportunity to show what they can do and some of it is surprising or remarkable.

Today we go back to Paul’s squabbling church in Corinth as he tackles their arguments about who is the better Christian by asking what our God-given abilities are for. We all have our own abilities, whether they are natural or super-natural, but, besides the question of what our individual talents are, is the question of what good are they?
