Christ Church and Emmanuel Church are the lead churches for Christians Against Poverty (CAP) Weston-super-Mare, relaunching on 1st January 2027 in partnership with CAP UK and churches across the town and district.
Our vision is to free local families from debt through practical, professional, judgement-free support — restoring hope, dignity and a fresh financial future for our community.
Giving
Donations towards CAP Weston-super-Mare are administered through Christ Church Weston-super-Mare (registered charity number 1134074), in partnership with Christians Against Poverty UK.
If you’d like to support the Centre financially, giving through Christ Church or via the CAP Weston-super-Mare website is the legitimate, official route.
Why it matters
Weston-super-Mare had a CAP Centre before: between 2016 and 2024 it helped 68 local families become completely debt-free. As churches across the town, we’ve come together to relaunch it and keep serving our community.
How our churches are involved
As the lead churches, Christ Church and Emmanuel provide the home base to coordinate the ongoing giving and support that makes the Centre possible, alongside CAP Weston-super-Mare’s own team led by Centre Manager Donna Pilgrim.
