The mission of Operation Christmas Child is to show God’s love in a tangible way to children in need around the world, and together with the local church worldwide, to share the Good News of Jesus Christ.
Over the years we have sent many boxes from Christ Church and Emmanuel and we are hoping to participate in 2022 as well.
There are a number of ways in which you can get involved:
PACK A SHOEBOX ONLINE
This is a very easy and straightforward way to send a shoebox. Simply go online at shoeboxonline.samaritans-purse.org.uk where you can choose items to fill a box and make your donation.
PACK A SHOEBOX YOURSELF Boxes and the leaflets explaining what to do are available in church either on a Sunday or from Emma in the office.
DONATE ITEMS FOR US TO PUT BOXES TOGETHER Stationary items, small toys, flannels and soap, gloves and hats, cuddly toy, toys etc. Please bring these into church where there will be a collection box.
DONATE TOWARDS THE COST OF A BOX
You may like to contribute a financial gift which we will then use to fill boxes together. Details of how to do so are below.
PLEASE PRAY To allow time for us to put boxes together, all donations need to be received in church by Sunday, October 30th. Or – if packing your own shoebox – on Sunday 6th November.

POST / DELIVER A CHEQUE
Cheques made payable to Christ Church PCC can be dropped into, or posted to, Christ Church, 16 Montpelier, Weston-super-Mare, BS23 2RH. Please write ‘SHOEBOX‘ on the back of the cheque.
CASH DROPPED INTO CHURCH
Drop an envelope labelled ‘SHOEBOX‘ into the wall safe in church near the old main door. This will have to be during church office hours.
