Have you ever seen a vine at harvest time? It may have been either on holiday or maybe you’ve seen pictures on the TV… and you’ll have seen the vine laden with rich, juicy bunches of grapes.  In our reading on Sunday, we’ll see that Jesus is using this as a picture of what our lives can become – fruitful.  A fruitful life would be one of joy and care and compassion known within and also shown to others.  It is a wonderful picture; “but” we may wonder “how is this possible”?  The secret we’ll discover is not in ourselves but is in something Jesus himself can bring us.  So how does that work and where do we start? Well, we’ll look together at John 15 to uncover the way that Jesus himself shows us…
