It will be a great privilege to have Mike Hill speaking to us and leading our discussions this weekend where we’ll be hearing a lot from the letter to the Ephesians. It’s full of challenges and some wonderful truths and promises. I think one of his themes will be ‘taking hold’ of God’s blessings. It’s reminding us that our faith isn’t a spectator sport – rather it’s one where Christ calls us to follow him. Not to simply watch him, debate him, or study him alone – but to get up and follow. And part of that is the taking hold of the promises we hear in the Bible and acting on the basis that they are true. I wonder… what would it look like if we were to take hold of them?
