This week we’re looking at one of the prophecies in Isaiahabout a Messiah to come. Jesus actually claimed this veryprophecy for himself in Luke’s gospel (chapter 4). Theinteresting thing for me has been reflecting on who thisMessiah came for. It wasn’t the privileged, rich or famousbut quite the opposite – the “poor, the broken hearted andthe prisoners”.
