Paul wrote his letter to the believers in Philippi while he was in prison – probably in Rome, waiting for his appeal before Caesar. Considering how seemingly bleak his situation was, it is incredible that this letter is full of joy and gratitude.
Paul knew God would carry on working in his and in the Philippians’ lives even though he was isolated from them.
God is still working on us, and we may not be able to see all that he is doing right now. One day,  when Jesus returns, the work that he began in us will be complete! We will see the whole picture!
