True Giving –
Earlier in Mark’s Gospel Jesus tells us that the most important commandment is this: Love the Lord your God, with all your heart, all your soul and all your mind.  Keep that in mind as we think about today’s Bible reading.

Jesus calls his followers to him and highlight’s the widows giving of two small coins as being more than the large amounts of money given by other rich donors.  She gave all she had.
Jesus was not praising the amount of money she gave but the spirit in which she gave.  She gave her all.  In difficult circumstances she was giving everything to the God who loved her more than she could imagine.

Whether it’s’ money, time, skills or gifts for Harvest – What fuels our giving?
Are we giving to be seen to be doing the right thing?
Are we giving from what we have left over, but it’s not really anything we have to think about much?
Or are we giving back to a God whose love for us is bigger than we can imagine? Does our giving reflect that most important commandment? Are we giving him our all?
