With my head of hair, I don’t need quite as much time in front of the mirror as many of us! It’s a quick check for me and then I’m off into my day. Now that’s fine for a mirror – but do we treat the Bible in the same way? A quick check and then we’re off…? The letter of James picks up this picture and we’re going to be reflecting (excuse the pun!) on this together. Are we people who give the Bible a surface glance or do we ‘gaze intently’?
