Jesus loved to quote Deuteronomy. It recounts the Lord’s love for and rescue of an undeserving people, like us. It also invokes obedience as the only pathway to fruitful living, for us. We are to love the Lord with all our heart, soul, and strength. We are to live by every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord. Do we remember? Do we observe the commands of our God, walking in his ways? Or do we forget?
