Hurray! Nehemiah has done his job and the wallsof Jerusalem are standing again.This Sunday we glance at Zephaniah. His namemeans ‘Yahweh has hidden’, and he lived beforeNehemiah, which means that the old walls ofJerusalem are still there. Zephaniah isprophesying that the people will be turned out ofJerusalem because of their wickedness. But thesurvivors will come back in Nehemiah’s time.They are turned out and some are turned back. Have we been turned back to God?
