During this period of isolation it’s very easy to get distracted and worried about the future. Of course there are issues to be concerned about and this is a call for us to pray. . . . but the Bible reminds us to set this in the context of our ultimate future: “set your hearts on things above” (Col 3 v2). And one of the most important things is knowing how the results of the cross protect us from all accusation. “Your life is now hidden in Christ” (v3). The cross for the Christian isn’t just the “means by which we enter into the Christian faith”.
