Sad to say it's too wet for a picnic today!

Easter Family Fun!

Saturday 28th March 2015

We had an amazing time celebrating Easter together!

Games and Activities - including 'Splat the Bunny'! and 'Bunny/Coconut Shy'! We bounced on the bouncy castle, we guessed the weight of the cake, we named the bunny, we made some amazing crafts, we built an Easter Garden, we ate Easter Treats, we paraded in our Easter Hats, we hunted for Easter Eggs and we heard how Lemonade reminds us of the Easter Story and God's amazing love!!! ..... Phew!

It was such a joy to see our church full of families having fun and hearing about God together!

Fun and Games......

How does Lemonade remind us of the Easter Story and God's amazing love?.... Donna told us how!

Easter Hats! ......

And our beautiful Easter Garden..... Come and see it on display in the church foyer!

Happy Easter to all our wonderful families!

Lemon and sugar, Nutella, Banana, Maple Syrup, Sweet and Sour, Mango, Strawberries, Fruit, Chocolate Sauce and Ice Cream all topped off our mountain of pancakes on Shrove Tuesday (thankfully, not all on the same plate!!) Huge thanks go to those who slaved over hot frying pans and those who brought and shared their favourite toppings.

About 50 adults and kids enjoyed a 'flipping' good time of food and fun topped off with some fast and furious pancake races!

Shrove Tuesday is followed by Ash Wednesday and marks the start of Lent, when we Christians take time to reflect and prepare, looking forward to Easter. In Youth Church we're following various Lent studies that encourage us to live more generously and be a blessing in the world. 'Love Life Live Lent booklets' for adults and children were available to take away and also 'Lent in a Bag', which contained 4 items to be used in discussion or personal reflection at home. If you would like to know more about the studies – there's some information on the notice board at the back of church or please feel free to speak to any of the Youth Church Team.
