There is a long history of Christ Church supporting mission activity both at home and abroad.  Financially, we have committed 10% of our regular income to go towards local outreach and mission projects.

We support Angeline White working for Bible Centred Ministries (BCM) teaching and training young people and adults in churches, schools, holiday clubs and camps and teacher training events.

Our Musical Director, Andy Page, is involved in supporting International Prayer projects with his skills in IT and PR. Recently he has been supporting the churches in Nigeria and South Africa by setting up a website and a visiting for training and support.

The work of Bible Society has been supported long term and we have recently had a two year commitment helping towards paper for Bibles to China under the scheme 'Touch a Nation'.

There is one smaller African project that we support linked to members of our congregation providing secondary education for girls.

Following a recent congregation survey of mission links we now also support the following.

An Interserve partner who works in Central Asia, training local people how to save the lives of women in childbirth and their newborn babies.

Mike & Helen Morrissey and their young family, supporting the development of local languages and scripture translation in Senegal.

Tom & Beth Potter and family working in the Philippines for TeachBeyond.org.uk to offer education to orphaned children.

Our mission is also of course on our doorstep and over the years we have conducted a variety of parish visiting schemes.

Facilities for families is an important part of our outreach with very popular toddler groups and other special events as is our ministry to residential homes for the elderly in our parish.

We take seriously Christ's command to preach the Good News and have perhaps an emphasis on the relational approach through our many contacts.
